What we do
We

engineers on your job, both of whom write code. No account manager.
The short version
Software rarely dies during the build. It dies in the last fifteen per cent, once the budget is spent and the people who started it have moved on to the next client.
How we got here
We spent our twenties inside other people's projects. Contracts out of Newcastle, a haulage portal in Team Valley, a booking system whose board nobody had opened since March. Good code, mostly. Almost none of it in front of a real user.
The turning point was a job in 2023 that burned about £60,000 and produced a login screen and a Miro board. We handed back the retainer and started again with one rule.
Codepily is the software studio run by Beppily Ltd, registered in England & Wales, working from Prudhoe in the Tyne valley for clients across the UK.
The rule
Nothing gets invoiced until something runs.
What we won't take on
We don't design logos. We don't run your ads, write your SEO, or build you a brochure site in WordPress — there are people twenty minutes away who do that better and cheaper.
We also don't sell discovery phases. Everyone in this trade does, because six weeks of workshops is easy money and carries no risk. You get a written read on your project for a fixed fee, or you get nothing at all from us. If your problem isn't software, we'll say so on the first call and get out of the way.

What you can actually buy
Tap any of these and it lands in the enquiry form at the bottom of the page.
Rescue & rebuild
Someone else stopped. We read the repository, tell you in writing what is salvageable and what should be burned, then finish it in fixed-price phases. About half our work is this, and it is the only service we will start inside a week.

Web & product builds
Empty repository to something customers use. A dull, well-documented stack, picked because it will still be maintainable in 2031 by someone who isn't us.

Internal tools
The spreadsheet with nine tabs that quietly runs your company. Permissions, an audit trail, and nobody emailing v14_final.

Integrations & APIs
Making your systems talk — Xero, Shopify, a SQL Server from 2011 that nobody documented.

Client portals
Login, documents, billing status. The three things your customers ring the office about.

Support & maintenance
Patching, upgrades, and a person who answers when it breaks at ten to five on a Friday.

A day of us
Architecture review, a second opinion on a developer you're about to hire, or a migration planned properly before anyone touches production.

Before you ask
Prices are a guide. We fix the number in writing before the work starts — no hourly meter, no change-request tax, and quotations hold for 30 days. VAT is not currently charged.
The order of things
How this actually goes
A call
Thirty minutes, no slides. Tell us what is broken, or what ought to exist and doesn't.
A written read
We go through the code or the idea and send plain English: what it takes, what it costs, what we would refuse to build.
First release
A fortnight in, something runs. Not a prototype video — a URL, a login, and your own data in it.
The rest, in phases
Fixed price per phase. Stop after any one of them and you keep everything, source code included.
Next step
Tell us what's stuck.
Thirty minutes on a call, then a written answer within two working days. If we're the wrong people for it, you'll hear that on the call rather than in a proposal three weeks later.
Where we are
Prudhoe, Northumberland — twelve miles west of Newcastle upon Tyne. Most work is remote; we drive to Tyneside, Durham and Carlisle when a room beats a call.
